Flags are required on all ATV's and UTV's

Go ahead and register without fear of new rides coming. Once new rides are known, all existing registered riders will be able to change their list of rides!

We will be staging from the Antelope Valley Fire Station on Larson Lane in Coleville.

The following rides take place on the Toiyabe National Forest and adjacent BLM lands. The community shown in parentheses denotes where the ride originates and returns indicating a possible need to trailer to the trail head.

Please note that rides with 10 or fewer registered riders may be combined with other rides after June 1.

Please note that unless otherwise stated in the ride description, you will need to provide your own sack lunch, water, soda, gas, etc. while on the ride.

The list of rides can be found below...

Mileage indicated is round trip and approximate. Be prepared with water and extra fuel, it is your responsibility!

"Difficulty Definitions"

  • Beginner: These rides are almost wholly on dirt roads in the trail system, some may contains short paved or graveled road sections. Some of the beginner rides may include short moderately steep sections or switchbacks.

  • Intermediate: Intermediate rides generally include some road and ATV trail portions with some steep, rough or challenging trails. A ride may also be intermediate in nature due to its length.

  • Advanced: Advanced rides will generally include portions that are steep, rough, and otherwise difficult to maneuver. In some cases, rides are listed as advanced because of the length of the ride. NOT FOR BEGINNING RIDERS!

"Rider versus Non-Rider"

  • RIDER - Any person that is on a ride is considered a
rider. Whether the person is driving or is just a passenger.

  • NON RIDER - Any person that does not go on any ride and
only attends non-ride events. Such as: breakfasts, dinners, social, etc.

California does require that all vehicles that are operated in public lands must be registered with the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). The registration fee is $50 per vehicle and is valid for a two year period. Contact the DMV or your local ATV dealer for this permit.

Non-Resident Permit: You will need to purchase a special "Nonresident OHV Permit" if you are not a California resident AND your off-highway vehicle or snowmobile is not registered in your home state. Your state's plate or sticker must be clearly visible on the vehicle. To find out where these Nonresident OHV Permits can be purchased and to get more information on the program, please contact a local Ranger or contact the OHMVR Division at:   Nonresident Permit - Vendor List (PDF) - as of 10/29/07
